What’s the best paying job a teen can get over the summer?

I'm planning to work my butt off to save up a couple thousands towards a car. Is this realistic depending on the job I get and how many hours I put into it?

If it helps, I'm 17, and I live in a suburban community close to other urban centers. Job opportunities are varied, but I really don't know what's the best paying. I don't care if I dislike it, because I will feel it will be worth it in the end.

A lot of my friends caddy over the summer at the local golf clubs, and depending on their experience, they make receive ridiculous tips. However, they all have connections to that club and are knowledgeable about golf, which I am not.

Is a good paying job for a teen an oxymoron?
