<a href="http://golfchippingnet.com/golf-advice/">Golf Advice</a>

The best values are available now from the retail golf storess such as Dick's. They are making seasonal merchandise changes right now. Making room for hunting and winter sports. Flyers in the Sunday newspapers are a good way to start. All the equipment manufacturers have set their lines for 2010. They all have been dumping obsolete and overstocks for about a month or so. You will see brand name golf equipment dumped in Sam's Club and other big box warehouse retailers. The e-commerce retailers are in a very horrible spot with sales figures down across the board in all golf categories. If you seek the best selection and price now is the time to buy. By Christmas the large golf equipment companies may even preview 2010 clubs as January is the time where all 2010 clubs will hit the market place. It is very possible that sell through during this time will not meet expectations of the retailers and what remaining obsolete inventory there is will be drastically reduced. But you take the chance of not getting clubs wwhich are right for you. A club that does not match your playing ability and staure is not a bargain at any price. Buy now or wait for the 2010 clubs. Historically Christmas is not a selling opportunity for complete sets other than junior equipment. Matbe a wedge or a driver or hybrid but that'ss the sales dynamic during Christmas. A gift that can cost as much as $2000 and buying it blind for a Dad or Mom is simply wrong. Golf clubs now can be custom fitted to a player and exact fitting is going to be the norm. Just be sure you have recourse from the place you buy from. Watch out for counterfeit clubs on the internet especially if the seller has no brick and mortar stores. There is more crap than ever on the net, don't be a victim and use a credit card with a back up option on your purchase. Be mindful of how retailers use private label branding for their operations. Walter Hagen clubs at Dick's for example are a name Dick's owns and has the clubs made in Communist China or some other Oriental country and shipped here. A private label brand can be marked up 100% or more. I have been a contracted supplier and bought stainless steel heads for $3-$5, graphite shafts for $6, grips for .60 cents and assembled the club for a buck. And that's not the low ball route. There are zinc golf heads which are plated and they cost less than $3 each.

Get fitted and start shopping again, your best value, (what you get for the dollar you spend), is right now. Good luck and give Dad his clubs back.
