Should Golf be an Olympic Sport? Why or why not?

The Game of Golf is an international sport played by men and women all over the world, and yet, it is not an Olympic Sport. Despite the fact that Golf was played at the 1900 Olympics in Paris and the 1904 Olympics in St. Louis and has not been played since 1904. Today, golfers come from all over the world including countries such as the United States, Ireland, Fuji, Japan, and South Africa.
In your opinion, do you believe Golf should be a sport in the Summer Olympic Games? Why or why not?

Because is not a ancient sport. Plus most golfer might not be enter, there’s no big price money just a medal. If golf consider olympic why not car race etc…

Golf should be an olympic sport. It is enjoyed by everybody, unlike skiing, where obviously the climate plays a role…or even running where obviously genetics plays a role (I am from a family of sprinters).
In golf, if you have the desire to excel, you can, you just practice your heart out. How many sports offer such a great opportunity to such a wide cross section of the population?
Golf needs to be in the Olympics.

I cant see people who make their living from playing golf (professional golfers) playing in a competition where there is no financial gain.
I know the Ryder cup is the same, but i cant see it to be honest

Definitely, they have it in the special olympics and it would be a great way for amateurs to prove themselves to everyone. Sponsors could have a field day. And it would turn a great game of compassion and competition to different lengths.
