how much for golf clubs?

Collin asked:

Im a freshmen in high school and I just signed up for my schools golf team. Last summer I began playing and I thought it was so much fun so I decided to join the golf team. Now im new to the game and I really dont have any clubs. Now this is my first year and Im not sure if Im serious about the sport. My question is this how much should I be paying for my first set of clubs? Thanks in advance.

im 25 and i just fell in love with golf over the winter. (somehow) well i decided im gonna play every chance i get this summer and see if i can hack it. not knowing if ill ever be any good i didnt wanna spend much (broke anyway) in case i suck, eternally. i would suggest checking eBay stores. ive got just about all the clubs i need used for well under a hundred bucks from BUNKERS PARADISE on ebay. they dont always have the same stock but it seems no one has ever bid on a single thing i looked it, like its a secret… ive got a slightly old big bertha driver and 3wood coming, a whole set of irons, a sand wedge for a buck, all graphite shaft, condition 8/10 and a voodoo putter for something like forty bucks for everything. try other stores too but this one offers free shipping on more than one purchase so i got my whole set there and saved big time. good luck and happy whacks.

dude go to golf headquarter (golf pro discount) and look at the tiger shark sets. this was my first set. its probably around 200 bucks. i still use some of the clubs. ive been playing for about a year in a half and im down to a 16 handicap. and once you figure out if you are serious bout the game, if you are build your bag from there with better equipment, if not then sell them or something. i now have a TM driver, tiger shark woods and irons, titleist vokey wedges, and a ping putter. if the tiger shark sets don’t fit you they also have the golden bear sets for around the same price. if those two don’t fit you then go to golf galaxy or some store like that and look at their BEGINNER sets. they also are around the same price. but you should not spend more than 200-250 for clubs.

I WAS LOGGED IN FOR SCHOOL AND DIDNT CHANGE IT SO IF YOU CHOOSE THIS ANSWER AS THE BEST PLEASE CHOOSE THIS ONE BECAUSE THIS IS THE ONLY ONE I USE FOR Y/A. THANKS)
