Which golf practice mat and net to get?

Sean asked:

I'm looking to start practicing my Drives, Chips, etc. in my backyard. I'm looking to get a good quality mat to hit off. I'm looking for something for about $150 or cheaper I'd like something that will at-least fit my stance, maybe a 3 X 4ft or 3 X 5ft mat. I also want a mat that WON'T damage my clubs (scratch, etc). I'm okay with rubber tees, they won't damage my clubs (as far as I know), and they don't break. I don't need to be able to put my own tees in it, but if there's a nice one with that feature for my price range, I'd love it. I also want a cement hard mat, something with some give and padding is good. As I stated I want something that I can use my Driver, Woods, Hybrids, Irons, and Wedges on. And I don't want some cheap thing that will rip, I want something with durability.

I'll also need to get a need to hit into, I'm looking to spend $90 or less on a net, I'll be standing fairly close to it, so I don't need some big 12x18 net. I want something quality that won't break, but it doesn't need to have a return feature, just something to stop the balls from flying out of my yard.

(if there's something that's above my budget, go ahead and put it out there, if I like it I'm willing to spend a little extra.

Thanks!!

a net is no good , unless your good enough to know how a good shot feels, with a net you dont know if your slicing or hooking, you dont want to stand there practicing for hours the wrong way cause you dont know were your balls going. cheapest way, is what i did, find your local ads look for an old or broken trampoline, build a frame and wrap the tramp over it. perfect cheap backstop.
