As a practical matter, it’s impossible to improve the performance of most modern cars without spending buckets of money. Doing anything to the intake or exhaust will do little but increase noise unless you do a lot of expensive work on the head. Chips, at best, shift the power curve around, but don’t make a real improvement in HP. Turbonators are simply a fraud. Any of these mods have the potential of causing you to fail pollution checks and voiding warranty.

Bottom line: if you wanted a Ferrari, you shoulda bought a Ferrari.

Research adding a Chip…. this will be the most reliable way to increase performance and still maintain fuel economy….

Chip without a doubt. Example…the performance gains for the MkV GTI APR Chip is 50 extra hp (at the crank) and 80 lbs of tq (also at the crank). Price $650.

Now if you spend money on an intake lets say that’s $200-$300 but you only gain about 4-10 hp at the wheels.

Full exhaust you spend $1000-$1300 from the turbo back. You get maybe 10-15 hp at the wheels.

So in the end the best bang for the buck is the chip.

Sure changing your turbo will get your more hp but you have to spend a considerable amount more than just a chip.

And nitrous is not even on all the time so that’s only on for an instant. If I want to go fast, I want to go fast when I say and not be limited by the amount of nitrous I can carry. Plus, nitrous is a sketchy thing I think. That’s my opinion.
