I need help with iron play?
Im a good golfer (4 handicap), but have the strangest problem. I practice golf every day for at lest 2 hrs and I hit my long irons and woods really well, but then I chunk my short irons like I forgotten how to swing then ill come back 10 min later and hit them perfect. Does anyone else have this problem and if so what are some tips to keep my practice session going.

I’m guessing it’s because you’ve been consistently hitting your woods and long irons.
When you come up to use your short irons, it feels different and you have to make some small adjustments to make it work. Now you having a 4 handicap know this, but here are a few things that might help.
Once you are done with your woods and long irons stretch for a minute. It will loosen you up and you don’t have to try anything too drastic.
Take 5 practice swings before you even think about taking a shot when you are just playing for practice, or in the beginning of the game. Make sure that your club comes through how you want it too.
Depending on what is going wrong, you can check the openness or closeness of your club if you take your back swing and then bring the club down over your head and see where the line is.
If that makes sense. . .
Good luck
