How to enter into golf tournaments in southern california?

I live in the La area and I was wondering how to find and enter golf tournaments for Juniors? I am 15 years, a freshman in my high schools varsity golf team. My goal is to one day play college golf. In order to achieve that goal I need to play tournaments. How do I DO THAT. Ive heard of something about junior program were you Sign up and get a membership and you get to play tournaments you want. I average a 45 for every 9 holes. Ime improving everyday, and practicing intensely every day. This year I just want to play tournaments to get experience. Any suggestion,tips,or any form of help would be appreciated.

Try looking on the junior golf association websites for your area. They should have the tournaments listed as well as the requirements. Good Luck in achieving your goals!

In addition to the Junior Association, contact the local state golf association for their schedule of junior tournaments, qualifying sites and requirements for entry. Each state has its own rules. In our state, there are few junior events . The state championship has sectional qualifiers which determine who will be a contestant to qualify. There is an 18 hole play down in which the low 32 go to a match play format to determine the eventual champion.
